Common questions
How do I restore my purchase on a new iPhone?
Open BlankFile → tap any Pro feature → tap "Restore purchase" at the bottom of the paywall screen. Your purchase is linked to your Apple ID and restores instantly for free.
Does BlankFile modify my original photos?
Never. BlankFile always saves a new copy of your photo with the changes applied. Your original is untouched. You can choose to delete the original after saving the copy, but that's always your choice.
My photo is stored in iCloud — can I still edit it?
Yes. BlankFile will download the full-resolution photo from iCloud before editing. You'll see a loading indicator while this happens. Make sure you're on Wi-Fi for large photos.
Why can't I see the GPS location on some photos?
Not all photos contain GPS data. If you had location access disabled on your camera app when the photo was taken, no GPS data was recorded. BlankFile can only show or remove data that exists in the file.
Is my data safe? Does BlankFile upload my photos?
Your photos never leave your iPhone. All processing is done on-device. We have no servers and collect no data. See our

Does BlankFile support RAW files?
BlankFile supports JPEG, HEIC and TIFF formats. RAW support is on our roadmap for a future update.
