1. Overview

BlankFile is a photo metadata editor for iOS. This privacy policy explains how BlankFile handles your data. We are committed to your privacy — it is the entire point of this app.

2. Data we collect

None.

BlankFile does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data, photo data, metadata, or usage data of any kind. The app has no analytics, no crash reporting, no advertising SDK, and no backend server.

3. How your photos are processed

All photo processing happens entirely on your device using Apple's native ImageIO framework. When you open a photo in BlankFile:

• Its metadata is read locally from your device storage
• Any edits you make are written locally to a new copy of the file
• Your original photos are never modified
• Nothing is uploaded, transmitted, or cached outside your device

4. Permissions we request

BlankFile requests access to your Photo Library solely to let you select photos to view and edit. We request the minimum permission required:

• Add Only permission when saving edited copies to your library
• Read access only for photos you explicitly select
• We never access your photo library in the background
• We never request your location — GPS coordinates come from your photos, not your device

5. Third-party services

BlankFile uses no third-party SDKs, analytics tools, advertising networks, or crash reporting services.

The only external service involved is Apple's StoreKit, used to process your one-time in-app purchase. This transaction is handled entirely by Apple. Apple's own privacy policy applies to that transaction.

6. Children's privacy

BlankFile does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the App Store.

7. Changes to this policy

If we ever change this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate meaningful changes to this policy.
